Note: This is for ISEP events only.

By registering for an event, “You” (the individual and/or organisation for whom You are making the purchase online) are agreeing to these terms and conditions. By completing and submitting the electronic order form, You are making an offer to purchase services, which, if accepted by the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals, hereinafter referred as “ISEP”, will result in a binding contract. Please read the terms and conditions below relating to Your particular event.

When registering for one of ISEP’s events, you are doing so in a professional capacity, in furtherance of your trade, business, craft or profession.  As a result, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply to ISEP events.

All event registrations are final. Event registration fees are non-refundable, except as expressly provided in this policy. By completing your event registration, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy. Cancellation/amendment of any confirmed bookings for events are subject to the following cancellation policy:

1. Event Cancellation, Postponement, or Rescheduling

1.1  ISEP reserves the right to cancel any event. ISEP will endeavour to provide you with written notice of such cancellations at least 7 days prior to an event commencing and will endeavour to reschedule events where possible. In the circumstance of the event date changing, ISEP will automatically transfer your ticket to the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the announcement to marketing@isepglobal.org, to be refunded back to the original payment method. Refund requests submitted after this period may not be honoured. ISEP disclaims any further liability. If the event is cancelled and not rescheduled, ISEP will process refunds on event tickets.

2. Extraordinary Circumstances

2.1  We understand that serious and unforeseen events can occur. Refund requests may be considered, at the sole discretion of ISEP, in cases of death in the immediate family, serious personal illness or medical emergency or other extraordinary circumstances beyond the attendee’s reasonable control. All such requests must be submitted in writing to marketing@isepglobal.org within 14 days of the event end date. The request must include an explanation of the circumstances and, where appropriate, be supported by reasonable documentation. The approval of refunds under this section is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Any refunds will be processed back to the original payment method, excluding process fees which are non-refundable.

3. Force Majeure

3.1  ISEP shall assume no liability if any of its events or scheduled activity are cancelled, modified, rescheduled or postponed due to events resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control. Such causes may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, fire, government orders or regulations, public health emergencies, labour disputes, civil unrest, terrorism, venue unavailability, transportation disruptions, or any other event that renders performance of the event or activity impracticable, illegal or impossible. In the instance of an event being cancelled due to force majeure, ISEP will process refunds on ticket purchases. ISEP are not responsible for and will not reimburse any travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses incurred in connection with the event.

4. Technical Requirements (for digital events)

4.1  An internet connection is required to access ISEP digital events. ISEP reserves the right to host digital events on the platform of their choosing. No refund will be given if delegates do not access or are unable to access ISEP digital events for reasons beyond ISEP’s control (e.g. system firewalls, inadequate system requirements, slow internet connection, etc.)

4.2  Attendees are responsible for ensuring they have adequate internet access, compatible hardware, and necessary software to participate in the virtual event. Refunds will not be issued due to individual technical issues.

5. Venue Location & Arrival

5.1  Delegates assume full responsibility for confirming the event location and arriving on time. ISEP will not be liable for any failure to attend, late arrival, or related losses arising from an attendee’s inability to locate a venue, reliance on incorrect navigation information, traffic conditions, or transportation disruptions.

6. Travel and related expenses

6.1  Under no circumstances shall ISEP be liable for any travel, accommodation, transportation, or other incidental or consequential expenses incurred in connection with an event or activity. This applies to cancellations, postponements, rescheduling, or a registrant’s inability to attend for any reason, including but not limited to illness, emergencies, weather, or travel disruptions. Attendees assume full responsibility for any such costs and are strongly encouraged to obtain adequate travel insurance.

7. Programme and content

7.1  ISEP reserves the right to amend the agenda and/or speakers at any time without prior notice, provided that any substitutions are of comparable nature and aligned with the original content. Delegates consent to recordings as well as being listed as delegates of events. Recordings may be used for future marketing of ISEP.

8. Ticket transfers

8.1 Where there is a charge for a ticket, tickets may be transferred at the discretion of ISEP from point of booking to 7 working days before the event.  Tickets may only be transferred between the same ticket type. To apply for a ticket transfer, you must contact marketing@isepglobal.org to submit a request. You must provide your full name, email and booking confirmation and the full name and email of the individual you would like to transfer your ticket to plus the event date and title of your original booking and requested change. If you are looking to transfer a ‘member only’ ticket, membership number of both the buyer and individual whom you wish to transfer your ticket to must be provided. Once a transfer has been made, it cannot be transferred or cancelled.
