ISEP members shine in 2026 SocEnv Award nominations

Nine of the 14 nominations for the two prestigious 'Society for the Environment' Awards set to be announced tomorrow – are ISEP members.

With a record-breaking number of nominations, the 2026 SocEnv Awards showcase the "exceptional and inspiring" environmental professionals working hard to protect, preserve or enhance the environment. 

There are two awards up for grabs:  

2026 Environmental Professional of the Year 

Highlighting the best work of Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) and Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech) registrants. 

2026 Rising Star 

Shining a light on professionals who have really hit the ground running in their early environmental careers. 

The finalists were selected from an array of excellent nominations, received for environmental professionals working in digital, environmental management, energy, water supply, transport, waste, engineering, and much more.

The SocEnv Awards are designed to recognise those outstanding individuals who have innovated, inspired, and have gone beyond what’s expected in their recent work to protect, preserve, or enhance the environment:

  • Rising Star award – Nominees should be currently registered as a Chartered Environmentalist, Registered Environmental Practitioner or Registered Environmental Technician and be working in their environmental career 10 years or less, regardless of age. Career breaks will not be counted towards this ten-year period.
  • Environmental Professional of the Year – Nominee should be currently registered as a Chartered Environmentalist, Registered Environmental Practitioner or Registered Environmental Technician.

Nominees are judged on the extent to which they have made a difference while demonstrating an outstanding record in the four main competences across each registration, as well as a fifth criteria that underlines exceptional outcomes since registration.
