What is the ISEP Mentoring Scheme and who is it for?

ISEP Membership Mentoring is a free service which supports prospective Full or Fellow and / or Chartered Environmentalist in progressing to the next level.

What to expect from Membership Mentoring

You will be paired with an ISEP member who has already successfully attained that membership level and who will provide you with structured support for up to six months.  This process helps to share knowledge and experience in anticipation of your application to the next membership grade.

Over the six months you will have access to your Mentor through regular calls and email as they guide you towards your goal.

Testimonial Background

How ISEP Membership Mentoring supported me

When I decided to apply for Full membership of ISEP from Associate, I thought it would be helpful to have a Mentor to guide me through the process. After a few weeks, John Hill was appointed to mentor me. John’s help in discussing whether to go for MISEP and CEnv or just MISEP (I opted for the latter) and in reviewing my application package, especially my short paper, was invaluable. He was also able to point me in the direction of other useful resources, such as ISEP’s Skills Map, and to bolster my confidence ahead of the interview. An unanticipated bonus was getting an insight into John’s own impressive career; it was also heartening to find a fellow sustainability professional who knew his jazz – “nice”.
