On our webinar series, 'Day in the Life', we will digitally shadow ISEP members, looking at their roles and innovative work within the environment and sustainability sector.

These sessions are perfect if you are a young professional in the early stages of your career or looking for the next challenge in your professional journey.

We will be shadowing Graduate members, learning how their career began and what kind of work they do; Practitioner members, exploring their responsibilities and what their days look like and, finally, we will discover what it is like leading on projects and being a Full member in different areas of the profession.

Season 5: Marine Impact Assessment

On our fifth season, we wanted to learn more about what it is like to work on Marine Impact Assessment. So we digitally shadow members who are working on this sector to learn what this role is like and how it differs from Impact Assessment and what knowledge and skills you need to work in this career.

On this episode of our fifth season, we digitally shadow a Graduate working on Marine Impact Assessment. We will learn what a Graduate consultant role looks like as well as the skills and background needed to work in Marine Impact Assessment.

Season 4: Circular Economy

For our fourth season, we have focused on Circular Economy. We have digitally shadowed members who are working on circular economy to understand what this emerging role in the industry entails and what a day in their lives involves.

 

On our first episode in our fourth 'Day in the Life' mini-series,  we digitally shadow two Graduates who work in circular economy and we explore what their career path was to this role and what it is like to work in circular economy.

On our third episode in our fourth 'Day in the Life' mini-series, we digitally shadow an ISEP Fellow member who works in circular economy to see what it is like to be leading the industry in circular economy.

 

Season 3: Environmental Auditing

On the third season, we explore the breadth of a career in environmental auditing by shadowing ISEP members at different levels to understand what career options are available for environmental auditors.

 

On the first episode, we digitally shadow two Graduate members that work on Environmental Auditing. We will follow them to see what it is like to spend a day in their lives. This is a great opportunity for students or graduates wanting to understand more about what a career in Environmental Auditing entails.

On our second episode of the season, we digitally shadow a Practitioner member, Alasdair Dalzel-Job, who works as an environmental business advisor conducting energy audits on SMEs across the UK. We follow him to see what it is like to spend a day in his life.

 

 

In the last episode of the third season of a 'Day in the Life' mini-series, we digitally shadow Alexis Massey and Karen Wells, two Full members of ISEP whose career path took them from working in environmental auditing to work for the Environment Agency as Sustainable Business Managers, managing a team of sustainability professionals.

On our second episode in this season, we digitally shadow two Practitioner members, Simone Simone Codrington from Willmott Dixon and Ashley Oates from Ward, to learn more about what it is like to work as a Corporate Sustainability professional.

In the first episode of our new 'Day in the Life' mini-series, we digitally shadow two Graduates members, Sarah Richards and Kerry Halford from Jacobs, in their jobs as Environmental Scientists working in Environmental Impact Assessment.

 

 

For the second episode of the series, we digitally shadow three Practitioner members working in Environmental Impact Assessment. Ella Niehorster from WSP, Nicole Walsh from Aecom and Natalie Brisland from RPS Group, to understand what it is like to spend a day doing EIA work.

On our final episode of the first season of 'Day in the Life' mini-series, we digitally shadow two Full members on their job as Environmental Impact Assessment professionals, Helen Jones, Associate Director of Environmental Assessment at Jacobs and Kate Wigley from LUC, to understand the progression of a career in Environmental Impact Assessment.
