This session follows on from the previous Environmental Pollution and Disasters webinar, corresponding to feedback provided. It explores how environmental professionals can prepare for, manage, and recover from pollution incidents and environmental disasters within operational and construction settings.
We will examine the principles of remediation and restoration, the role of Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and how stress testing and emergency response planning can build resilience against accidental releases. The presentation will also address construction-specific risks, including watercourse contamination from site discharges and the importance of robust Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
