East of England & Midlands: A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet road improvement works

The A428 between St Neots and Caxton Gibbet is currently the only section of single carriageway between the M1 near Milton Keynes and Cambridge. This key route links the M1 and M11, serving the communities of Bedford, St Neots, Cambridge, and Cambourne. Approximately 25,300 vehicles use this road daily, with numbers expected to grow to 32,900 by 2040.
