What is ISEP?

We are responsible for ensuring that people working on the front line in these areas have the right knowledge, competencies, skills and confidence to do a professional job. Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at professionals with university-level education or equivalent years of work experience, who are new to carbon accounting.

What are the entry requirements?

While there are no formal entry requirements, learners attending the course are expected to have an existing level of knowledge within the field. This may be have been gained through completion of our 1-day Carbon Footprinting and Reporting course or an equivalent programme or experience.

What will you learn?

After successful course completion of the course, you can expect to be considered able to undertake basic carbon accounting with supervision and will be eligible to join ISEP’s Register of Carbon Accountants and Auditors at Associate Level.

How do you learn?

This is a 5-day course (with a minimum of 40 hours), which can include the pre-course reading, guided homework and teaching delivery. The course can be taken online or in a classroom.

How will you be assessed?

At the end of the course, you will be assessed through a combination of practical exercises, case studies, presentations, site visits (where feasible) and an end-of-course examination. Each learning outcome will be assessed separately, ensuring you can demonstrate both your understanding and ability to apply the course content.

All learners who have successfully completed this ISEP Certified course will be eligible to join ISEP’s Register of Carbon Accountants and Auditors at Associate level, once this register is live.
