30 January 2026

The East Scotland Committee is kicking off 2026 with fresh energy, welcoming two new members to the group and gearing up for some exciting activities.

Welcoming Our New Members

We are thrilled to introduce Louise Neilson and Finn Caldwell to the committee.

Louise Neilson joins us from AAB and shared why she wanted to get involved:

"After returning to a sustainability role following a career break and relocating to a new city, I wanted to rebuild my professional network and get involved more locally. Joining ISEP’s Global Network as a volunteer committee member seemed like a great way to connect with other practitioners, support sustainability initiatives, and contribute my experience outside of work. I’m really looking forward to what’s planned for 2026!"

Finn Caldwell, a Sustainability Engineer with WSP in Edinburgh, joined the committee to help promote ISEP locally and expand his experience across sustainability, including environmental management. He is also eager to engage new members and share the group’s collective knowledge. Outside work, Finn enjoys running, hiking, and travelling.

Farewell to a Valued Member

We also say goodbye to long-standing committee member Hugh Gibson, who will be joining the West Scotland Network. Thank you, Hugh, for your dedication, hard work, and invaluable support during your time on the committee!

Join Us for a Drinks Social

To celebrate our new members and connect with the committee, we’re hosting a drinks social at the Jolly Botanist in Edinburgh from 5:30 pm GMT on Thursday 12 March.

We can’t wait to see you there and share what’s ahead for the committee this year!
