4 March 2026

The London and South East regional network of ISEP continues to grow, evolve, and strengthen—and we are delighted to announce two new additions to our steering group.

Please join us in welcoming Lana Nwosu and Filip Nykiel-Jastrzebski to the committee. Both bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives to the region, and we are excited to have them supporting the development of our events and professional community.

Meet the Committee

Our regional committee is made up of 11 dedicated volunteers working across consultancy, property, construction, engineering, and professional institutions. Together, we represent a broad cross-section of the sustainability and environmental professions, enabling us to curate events that are relevant, technically informed, and engaging.

As a volunteer-led network, everything we deliver—from webinars to informal networking evenings—is driven by the time and energy of professionals who care about advancing environmental practice. We are always open to new ideas, potential event hosts, and individuals interested in contributing to the direction of the region. If you’d like to support the network, we would love to hear from you.

Recent Highlights

Circular Economy in Practice – 17  February

In February, we were pleased to host Paul Foulkes-Arellano for a thought-provoking webinar exploring circular economy implementation in real-world business contexts. The session moved beyond theory and into practical application, examining how organisations are redesigning products, supply chains, and business models to retain materials within circular systems.

One particularly striking insight: Vinted is now the number one clothes retailer in France by sales volume. It’s a powerful example of how resale platforms are disrupting traditional retail models and reshaping consumer behaviour at scale.

The discussion reinforced a central theme for sustainability professionals: the circular economy is no longer aspirational—it is operational, measurable, and commercially viable when embedded strategically.

Festive Connect – 9 December

In December, we closed the year in style with our Festive Connect event at Tank and Paddle, following on from the main ISEP Connect conference hosted at Mitie offices.
The evening brought together professionals from across the sustainability spectrum for networking, discussion, and celebration. A highlight of the event was Andrew McMullen’s introduction to the Three Horizons framework—a strategic model used to explore innovation, transformation, and long-term systems change.
Alongside the thought leadership, the evening offered plenty of opportunity for informal conversation over drinks and pizza. One of the most rewarding aspects of our networking events is the diversity of people in the room: environmental consultants speaking with ESG strategists, engineers exchanging ideas with policy professionals, and early-career practitioners connecting with industry veterans. These cross-sector interactions are where collaboration begins.

Thank You

Finally, a sincere thank you to everyone who has attended, supported, hosted, or spoken at our events. A volunteer-led regional network only works because of its community. Your engagement, enthusiasm, and willingness to contribute make these events possible—and worthwhile.

We look forward to seeing both familiar and new faces at our upcoming events and continuing to build a collaborative, forward-thinking sustainability community across London and the South East.

Victoria Chater-Lea MISEP

Chair

I’ve been volunteering with ISEP for a couple of years and am working towards achieving Chartership. I recently organised a series of online coffee mornings featuring the wheel of sustainability and our Christmas socials. I currently work as a Senior Sustainability Advisor at Berkeley Group across their Capital division. I am responsible for implementing sustainability across a number of central London developments. I'm really passionate about carbon reduction and implementing innovations in my current role. Prior to Berkeley I was working on projects at Heathrow and on HS2. I graduated from the University of York in 2016 with an integrated Masters degree in Environmental Geography and specialism in Corporate Social Responsibility. I find it fascinating how sustainability is constantly transforming and gaining traction in today’s world. It’s really important that we work to preserve our world for future generations to thrive in, and this is something I am excited to be part of.
