ISEP is inviting feedback on its new training strategy that will be implemented over the next 18 months.Whether you are a training organisation wanting to comment on the future direction of ISEP training an employer wanting to feedback to the ISEP what training you would like to see in place for your employees or a delegate wanting to develop your knowledge and understanding; the ISEP would like to hear from you. Please return completed questionnaires by the 8th April 2005.

If you would like to review the full strategy please contact the Professional Standards department at mailto:[email protected]

By 2010 ISEP aims to be the premier body setting the standards and promoting environmental training to supply the needs of environmental practitioners regulators NGOs and anyone involved in implementing environmental solutions. In order to do this ISEP will ensure that qualifications and training courses meet the needs of environmental professionals and industry and build up a programme of CPD to support their development.

A five year programme will be implemented so that within this timeframe ISEP will be in a position to offer recognition of:

  • an appropriate portfolio of training courses
  • different levels of training within a modular framework so that there is a strong incentive towards progression and professional development within the discipline
  • a greater diversity of recognised environmental related courses which will be continually expanded
  • a more flexible approach to learning

This approach will provide a structured and clear pathway through environmental training and a programme of courses to increase environmental professionalism.
