ISEP Announces Appointment of New CEO

Tim Balcon is to join ISEP as our new CEO. His appointment follows the departure in March of Jan Chmiel.

Tim (pictured) joins us from his most recent role as Chief Executive of Energy and Utility Skills (EU Skills Group) which includes the National Skills Academy for Power. Tim’s focus on professional skills and ability to grow organisations made him the ideal candidate to take ISEP forward.

He is an experienced Chief Executive and has led previous organisations from start-up to rapid growth through to high performance in the energy utility and education sectors. He is currently a non-executive member of OfQUAL and has held previous appointments including Chief Executive of GWINTO (Gas and Water Industries Training Organisation) a non-executive position at Aston University Engineering Academy and is a past President of the Institute of Water.

Tim joins ISEP at an exciting time for the Profession with skilled and competent environment professionals increasingly playing a c entral role as change agents within organisations addressing the challenges and opportunities created in moving to a sustainable economy. We welcome Tim to ISEP and look forward to working with him.

Tim Balcon has now taken up his position as CEO is working with ISEP’s Board Council and Senior Management Team.
