Dr. Ahmed Elidrisy is a senior sustainability and environmental management leader with over 29 years of experience driving ESG, climate action, and HSE excellence across the public and private sectors. He currently serves in the sustainability and ESG sector, where he has led transformative initiatives within the Qatar Free Zone Authority, including the development of a comprehensive ESG Framework, a Circular Economy Platform, and an advanced Carbon Footprint Simulation Model. A Chartered Fellow of IOSH and a Fellow of ISEP, Dr. Elidrisy integrates global standards such as ISSB, GRI, TCFD, and ISO systems into organizational strategies. His work spans energy, construction, government, and free zones, with a strong focus on climate resilience, sustainable development, and environmental governance. An award-winning author and researcher, he has published multiple books and scientific papers on ESG and sustainability, and is recognized globally for his leadership and contributions to the profession.

Elkhatab Babiker is an experienced environmental and sustainability professional with over 12 years of leadership across major infrastructure, construction, and development projects in the Gulf region. He currently serves as an Environment and Sustainability Corporate Manager, leading the development of sustainability strategies, environmental compliance frameworks, and organisational performance improvements for large-scale projects including NEOM, The Red Sea, Qiddiya, and Royal Commission programs. Elkhatab holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Qatar University and maintains a strong professional standing as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and Full Member of ISEP. He is also a certified ISEP Trainer and an ENVSP Trainer, alongside numerous global certifications in ESG, risk, project management, and environmental auditing. In addition to his professional work, Elkhatab volunteers with the IUCN CEESP West Asia Network, contributing to regional dialogue on environmental governance and sustainable development.

Savindri Dassanayake is based in Qatar and works in the trading and contracting industry, with a focus on sustainability, health, and safety. She holds an MSc in Environmental Science and Management from the University of York and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Sheffield. Her experience spans ecological consultancy projects in the UK and sustainability initiatives in Qatar, where she has supported environmental assessments, stakeholder engagement, and compliance. Savindri’s current interests lie in addressing global environmental challenges in the Global South, with a particular focus on embedding sustainability into organizational processes within her current workplace. She is a GradISEP member and is working towards achieving the Practitioner level, reflecting her commitment to professional development and excellence in sustainability practice. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, and volunteering with the Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS), combining her passion for nature with community engagement.

Awulatu Abigail Apuryinga is a recently certified ISEP member and a first-year PhD student at Okayama University, Japan, pursuing Rural and Environmental Science. Her research interests centre on water management for sustainable agriculture, with particular emphasis on irrigation systems, climate change adaptation, environmental sustainability, and watershed quality. Her academic work is driven by a strong interest in how effective water management can enhance agricultural productivity, resilience, and environmental stewardship, especially in climate-vulnerable rural communities. Awulatu seeks to connect scientific research with practical, scalable solutions that support long-term sustainability. As an early-career researcher, she values learning through exposure, collaboration, and mentorship within professional and interdisciplinary networks. Through her involvement with ISEP’s Global Networks, she aims to contribute to member engagement activities while developing leadership capacity and expanding her understanding of global sustainability practice. She is motivated by service, growth, and creating meaningful impact through science-based solutions

I am a Chartered Environmentalist working in the construction and infrastructure sector, specialising in environmental management, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. With experience across major projects, I focus on implementing practical environmental solutions, promoting resource efficiency, and ensuring high standards of environmental protection on site. Throughout my career, I have supported multidisciplinary teams by providing guidance on environmental best practice and building capacity among colleagues and contractors. My work spans environmental impact assessment, waste and chemical management, water quality, pollution prevention, and stakeholder engagement. I am passionate about professional development and contributing to the growth of the environmental community. As an advocate for sustainability and continuous learning, I am committed to helping emerging professionals strengthen their skills and confidence as they build their careers in the environmental sector.

Ahmed Nofal is an environmental consultant with over six years of professional experience in the marine environmental management sector. He holds a bachelor's degree in marine biology and has specialized in environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), compliance monitoring, and sustainability planning across large-scale infrastructure projects, including desalination, power, and wastewater facilities. Ahmed has supported the development of Environmental Impact Assessments that meet national and international standards, contributing to measurable reductions in brine discharge impacts, improved compliance rates, and strengthened environmental performance for major clients in Saudi Arabia. He is a certified practitioner with IEMA and holds credentials in greenhouse gas accounting (ISO 14064) and data analysis. Passionate about climate change mitigation, blue carbon, and sustainable resource management, Ahmed combines technical expertise with community engagement to deliver impactful solutions.

I hold a diploma in Electrical Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Marine Studies from the prestigious Qatar University. I have worked across several sectors, including construction, oil and gas, and facility management, where I have gained broad hands-on experience in environmental management, compliance, and sustainability practices. Through these roles, I have developed strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards. My multidisciplinary background allows me to work effectively with engineering, operations, and HSE teams to support safe, compliant, and sustainable project delivery.

I am an Environment & Sustainability Professional with over16 years of experience across various developmental & infrastructure projects in Qatar and India. Experience in sustainable design, sustainable construction practices, sustainable initiatives, climate change mitigation measures, carbon emission reduction technologies, and best practices.
